Help us build a new European institution

Founding Trustees
Wanted

The European Outdoor Innovation Lab

What if the outdoors were treated not as a leisure extra, but as a serious tool for improving lives, tackling inequality, strengthening communities, and supporting health and wellbeing?

What if Europe had an organisation dedicated to testing, learning, and scaling better ways of connecting people with nature?

The European Outdoor Innovation Lab is being established as a new Brussels-based charity working across Ireland, the UK, France, Luxembourg, Belgium, the Netherlands, Denmark and Germany.

We will develop and support programmes that use nature and the outdoors as a vehicle for positive change — while also acting as an innovation and evidence hub, trialling new approaches, building partnerships, and contributing to research and policy.

In time, we aim to become a leading European voice in this space: practical, evidence-led, collaborative and ambitious.

We are now looking for Founding Trustees to help bring this vision to life.

We are seeking trustees who can help us build not just a charity, but a credible, high-impact institution.

Governance, charity law or compliance
Fundraising and philanthropic partnerships
Public health, mental health or social impact
Academic research and evaluation
Nature access, inclusion and outdoor participation
Finance and organisational sustainability
European policy, systems change or innovation
